Care Instructions

  • Hydrangeas are available year round.
  • Hydrangeas have one bloom per stem.
  • Hydrangeas tend to vary in color from bloom to bloom; this is a naturally occurring phenomenon.
  • Hydrangeas are considered a focal flower, accent flower and/or filler flower depending on your arrangement.
  • Hydrangeas love water, make sure to monitor the water levels in your containers.
  • Hydrangea are shipped from our farm partners in South America and shipped in refrigeration to our headquarters in Lebanon, Pa. Once they arrive, we process them, hydrate them in the proper floral solution, and continue to store them in refrigeration.
  • Guaranteed vase life for hydrangea is 8 days after pick up or delivery with proper care and handling.
  • Inspect your flowers upon arrival.
  • Ensure your vases or containers are very clean. Fill the vases or containers with at least 4 inches of fresh, cool water. Each order will come with flower food packets. Follow the package directions for adding it to the water.
  • Remove any foliage from the flowers that falls below the waterline of your containers. When removing foliage, care should be taken to not damage the stem. Removing any foliage that falls below the waterline will help prevent the growth of mold or bacteria which could cause premature wilting.
  • Cut approximately 1 inch from the bottom of the stem. Immediately after cutting, place the stems in the prepared water.
  • Ensure that you have sufficient room in each container for the amount of stems you will be storing. Overcrowding may cause damage to flowers and affect proper blooming.
  • Prior to use, keep flowers in a cool, dark location away from direct sunlight, drafts, or extreme temperatures.
  • To keep your flowers fresh, change the water every 24 to 48 hours or when the water becomes cloudy.
  • When you rehydrate them, be sure to use the flower food provided. Not doing so may cause your flowers to droop.
  • Remember that exposing flowers to warm temperatures will help the flower to bloom, and storing your flowers in a cooler environment will slow down the blooming process.
  • If you have any questions about your product upon receiving, please consult a representative at your local store or 1-800-979-2761.
